BEIJING TAFE REFORM PROJECT ON EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SUCCESSFULLY HOLD ITS FIFTEENTH SEMINAR!

AVEA is pleased to announce that the fifteenth session of TAFE reform project on early childhood education was held successfully from 17 -27 April 2021!

Australia Vocational Education Alliance (AVEA) organized demonstration classes and seminar about early childhood education in the afternoon on April 27th in Beijing Fengtai Vocational High School. All teachers from project schools and colleges participated in the activity with great passions. Ms. Wang Yubo, the leader of Beijing Academy of Educational Sciences and Mr. Wu Yuhong, researcher of Beijing Institute of Education had also joined and conducted series of discussions along with the members.

The demonstration classes focused on the subjects implemented in TAFE pilot class of Beijing Fengtai Vocational High School. It was shown in the session plans, Australian TAFE education concepts had been well-facilitated in the process of teaching, emphasizing student-centered methodology with the focus on the design of teaching situation and inquiry-based learning, which came to great result in teaching practice.

In the seminar, each teacher provided a short comment on the class from their own perspectives and Ms. Wang Yubo made the conclusion speech.

 Ms. Wang first expressed her pleasure for being part of the session. She said, “Every comment about the highlight and the flaw of the demonstrationclasses  is very helpful and inspiring for all of us. The session plans designed by the two instructors not only embodies the theory of Australian vocational education – competency based training, but also combines the vision of Beijing education reform – build a useful, interesting and efficient class.”

BEIJING TAFE REFORM PROJECT- THE FOURTH SEMESTER AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE

Based on Beijing’s educational reforms, with the support and guidance of Beijing Academy of Educational Sciences, teachers involved in the TAFE reform project cooperated with each other and accomplished numerous tasks, including delivery plans and teaching resources development for the fourth semester. Beijing Academy of Educational Sciences evaluated and selected a number of outstanding achievers for Excellence Award. Ms. Wang assigned the award during the ceremony. “The award is a great encouragement for all the teachers,” she said, “But our ultimate aim is to implement our achievement into teaching practice, then finally promote the curriculum construction and education mode reform.”
